DAY 1
Arrival in Tanzania
You will be picked up from the airport by our representative and taken to your accommodation in Arusha/Moshi, where you will spend the night, relax, and prepare in anticipation of the adventures to come.
DAY 2
Arusha - Tarangire National Park
In the morning, you will be picked up from the lodge in Arusha by our safari driver guide. Start drives to Tarangire National Park on a good tarmac road across gently rolling Maasai plains with scattered acacia trees. On the way, you will see many Masai in their colorful dresses walking on the roadside, riding bicycles, herding cattle, and driving donkey carts.
The park is well known for its large elephant herds, but it is also home to a multitude of other creatures. If you are lucky, it is possible to see lions stalking prey or leopards watching, relaxing in the trees above.
After an extensive game drive experiencing the varied sights and sounds of the wilderness, you will drive to the accommodation for dinner and overnight.
DAY 3
Lake Manyara – Tarangire National Park
After your breakfast, enjoy a morning game drive at the park and then back to the lodge for an early dinner. After dinner, you will have a night spotlighting game drive in the park and then back to the lodge for the overnight.
Manyara provides the perfect introduction to Tanzania’s birdlife. More than 400 species have been recorded, and even a first-time visitor to Africa might reasonably expect to observe 100 of these in one day. Inland of the floodplain, a narrow belt of acacia woodland is the favored haunt of Manyara’s legendary tree-climbing lions and impressively tusked elephants.
DAY 4
Lake Manyara – Ngorongoro Crater
Depart after breakfast for an extended morning game drive to Lake Manyara National Park, and in the afternoon, drive to Ngorongoro for the evening Ngorongoro Crater rim walk. At dawn, check in to the lodge for dinner and overnight.
DAY 5
Ngorongoro Crater
After breakfast, proceed to a morning game drive in Ngorongoro Crater. It’s a full-day game drive with a picnic lunch. Late afternoon, we’ll be back at the lodge for dinner and overnight.
The jewel in Ngorongoro’s crown is a deep, volcanic crater, the largest unflooded and unbroken caldera in the world.
We will visit Lake Magadi, a large but shallow alkaline lake in the southwestern corner, which is one of the main features of the crater. A large number of flamingos, hippos, and other water birds can usually be seen here.
DAY 6 - 7
Central Serengeti Full Day Game drive
Leisure breakfast at the Lodge and then depart for a game drive en route to Serengeti. A hot lunch will be served in the afternoon. We’ll continue to Serengeti Central for the game drive in the evening, and check in to the lodge for the overnight stay.
A million wildebees each one driven by the same ancient rhythm, fulfilling its instinctive role in the inescapable cycle of life: a frenzied three-week bout of territorial conquests and mating; survival of the fittest as 40km (25 mile) long columns plunge through crocodile-infested waters on the annual exodus north; replenishing the species in a brief population explosion that produces more than 8,000 calves daily before the 1,000 km (600 mile) pilgrimage begins again.
DAY 8
Mara (Northern Serengeti)
Enjoy your breakfast at the camp and then depart for the northern part of Serengeti, North Kogatende. In the evening, enjoy the river crossing viewing of the great migration.
River crossings at Kogatende start to occur every day in August as the mega herd settles into the area. For August, September, and October, game viewing up here is superb, with river crossings pretty much guaranteed every day.
There is no distinct movement as the herds tend to cross back and forth over the river, following the rains and subsequent fresh grasses. It is not uncommon to see different herds crossing in different directions on the same day.
DAY 9
Kogatende (Northern Serengeti)
Early breakfast at the camp, followed by an early morning river game drive to view the great migration on crossing movement, with a picnic lunch. In the evening, back to the camp for dinner and overnight.
The park is well known for its healthy stock of other resident wildlife, particularly the “big five”, named for the five most prized trophies taken by hunters: Lion: the Serengeti is believed to hold the largest population of lions in Africa, due in part to the abundance of prey species. More than 3,000 lions live in this ecosystem. African Leopard: These reclusive predators are commonly seen in the Seronera region but are present throughout the national park with a population of around 1,000.
DAY 10
Serengeti National Park – Arusha/Moshi
Breakfast at the camp and then game drive at the Mara region of the Serengeti to view the great migration, and then transfer to the Kogatende airstrip for your flight back to Arusha.
Upon arrival, you will be transferred to the lodge for lunch and then driven to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your flight back home.

Excellent value for money, I highly recommend!Posted on Tripadvisor Joanne JVerified Memorable first safari experience We enjoyed the game drive in Nyerere National Park and the river safari in the Selous River for 1 night and 2days.It was a comfortable and fun safari trip thanks to our guide, Charles and Dozo. They were great at explaining the animals and the whole Nyerere area so it was a great experience. It was good to enjoy the animals up close and the pick-up service was also so nice. Also, the dishes served were delicious. If you just do the safari in Serengeti, and not Nyerere, you’ll miss out!Posted on Tripadvisor SiljeVerified Much for the money! The safari started when we were picked up in Dar es Salaam. We set our course to Mikumi National Park. The guide adapted to us, and we only had a few quick stops on the road - as we wanted to get the most out of the park. When we arrived in the park we left our things and agreed a time we would meet for game drive in the park. We drove around and saw many animals in close proximity! The first thing that met us when we got into the park was a flock of elephants, which was a big wish from our side!We took an early evening and agreed to leave early for game drive. We got to see almost all the 5 big ones, except cornea! We saw leopards, elephants, lions, river horses, crocodiles, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, monkeys. Our guide had an enormous amount of knowledge and was engaging throughout the safari, which we greatly appreciate! We got lunch the first day, dinner and accommodation. In addition to a day and a half in Mikumi National park, and we felt this held. We can recommend this company, they are easy to deal with and deliver what they want according to the budget you have. They are welcoming and friendly!Posted on Tripadvisor Saif AVerified Highly recommended tour guide We booked a 2-day safari with Mr Widman in mid-August, we were picked up in Dar es Salaam and driven to Mikumi National Park, everyone involved was very friendly and it was always taken into account our wishes. On the second day we also got a very nice introduction through a Masai village where the culture was explained to us in more detail. Overall it was a very nice adventure and we felt very safe with Widman and his team, we can only recommend
