DAY 1
Arusha – Serengeti National Park
After breakfast, at 8:00 a.m., your guide will arrive at your hotel or the airport to pick you up and head towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Along the way, you’ll enjoy a picnic lunch and wildlife viewing. As you leave the highlands, you’ll descend into the heart of wild Africa—the Serengeti National Park—where endless plains stretch as far as the eye can see. You’ll also make a brief stop at a viewpoint on the rim of the Ngorongoro Crater.
You’ll stop for a picnic lunch inside the park. In the evening, you’ll arrive at your tented camp in the heart of the Serengeti. You’ll drive to your accommodation, where you can relax, enjoy dinner in beautiful surroundings, and retire to your well-appointed quarters.
DAY 2
Northern Serengeti National Park
You will enjoy an early breakfast and set off on a game drive around 6:30 a.m., spending 6-7 hours exploring the amazing Serengeti. This will be the highlight of your 5-day safari.
It’s especially famous for the great migrating herds: 250,000 zebras, 1.5 million wildebeest, and 500,000 antelopes. The animals’ migration is driven by rainfall and varies each year. Besides the migrating herds, you may also see predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions.
After an extensive game drive, you’ll return to the camp around 2:00 p.m. to relax, dine, swim, and relive the memories of the day.
DAY 3
Northern Serengeti National Park
This entire day is dedicated to game drives in the Serengeti.
From November to December, the herds move from the northern woodlands and hills to the southern grassy plains.
During the longer rainy season, from April to June, they return north. Besides the migrating herds, you may also spot resident predators like leopards, cheetahs, and lions.
DAY 4
Central Serengeti National Park
After a hearty breakfast, you will set out for a full-day game drive in the Central Serengeti.
You’ll explore the diverse habitats of this iconic park, including the renowned short grass plains. You’ll witness the awe-inspiring sight of massive herds of wildebeest and zebras. In January, during a brief period of about three weeks, the majority of the wildebeest give birth, with around half a million calves born in a remarkably synchronized birthing event.
The open grasslands offer little cover, but the young wildebeest can run within minutes of being born and are typically strong enough to keep up with the herd within three days.
DAY 5
Serengeti National Park – Ngorongoro Crater – Arusha.
Early risers are rewarded with breathtaking views of the rising sun over the crater’s edge before embarking on a journey to the Ngorongoro Crater after a hearty breakfast.
With a bit of luck, you might even spot endangered black rhinos grazing in the grass. After an extensive game drive and a picnic lunch, you will leave the crater in the afternoon and travel back to Arusha, where you will be dropped off at your accommodation or the airport.

EXCELLENT Based on 4 reviews Posted on Alaeddine EVerified Very good Service I recommend Many thanks to Widman Safari for their Service. Everything was perfectly organized, with support from departure until return. Excellent value for money, I highly recommend!Posted on Joanne JVerified Memorable first safari experience We enjoyed the game drive in Nyerere National Park and the river safari in the Selous River for 1 night and 2days.It was a comfortable and fun safari trip thanks to our guide, Charles and Dozo. They were great at explaining the animals and the whole Nyerere area so it was a great experience. It was good to enjoy the animals up close and the pick-up service was also so nice. Also, the dishes served were delicious. If you just do the safari in Serengeti, and not Nyerere, you’ll miss out!Posted on SiljeVerified Much for the money! The safari started when we were picked up in Dar es Salaam. We set our course to Mikumi National Park. The guide adapted to us, and we only had a few quick stops on the road - as we wanted to get the most out of the park. When we arrived in the park we left our things and agreed a time we would meet for game drive in the park. We drove around and saw many animals in close proximity! The first thing that met us when we got into the park was a flock of elephants, which was a big wish from our side!We took an early evening and agreed to leave early for game drive. We got to see almost all the 5 big ones, except cornea! We saw leopards, elephants, lions, river horses, crocodiles, zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, hyenas, monkeys. Our guide had an enormous amount of knowledge and was engaging throughout the safari, which we greatly appreciate! We got lunch the first day, dinner and accommodation. In addition to a day and a half in Mikumi National park, and we felt this held. We can recommend this company, they are easy to deal with and deliver what they want according to the budget you have. They are welcoming and friendly!Posted on Saif AVerified Highly recommended tour guide We booked a 2-day safari with Mr Widman in mid-August, we were picked up in Dar es Salaam and driven to Mikumi National Park, everyone involved was very friendly and it was always taken into account our wishes. On the second day we also got a very nice introduction through a Masai village where the culture was explained to us in more detail. Overall it was a very nice adventure and we felt very safe with Widman and his team, we can only recommend
